Have you heard of Bluum?

I recently heard about Bluum and wanted to give them a try.  How does it work?  Well, you sign up, either for a free account or a paid account, and each month, the Bluum team picks companies to send you samples from.  Paid members get a Bluum box each month, free members get samples and newsletters.  What's nice about it?  Well, you get to try new products each month and review them to earn points.  You can use those points to get free Bluum boxes.

I recently received our June box:

It's July!

Wow, July hit with a vengeance!  It's been hot Hot HOT here lately, so hot we've hardly done anything fun because we can barely move away from the fans.  We have no AC either, so we're roasting here.  I thought I'd share a few pictures from the past couple of days, though I don't have many.

June 30th, we had Greg's Grandma's 90th birthday party.  Can you imagine, 90 years of life?  It would be great to live that long, as long as you are healthy enough to enjoy them.  Which, Grandma W seems to be pretty healthy and still gets out to enjoy all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Greg's family is huge, with 13 original children, then all of their spouses and children, and then all their children's children.  Whew, did you get all that?  Anyway, I didn't get many pictures of the actual party, but I did snap some of the kids playing outside at the playground.
Landen and Aleyah on the teeter tatter.  I'm thinking we need to build one of these when we get settled in our future home.

Pictures Pictures Pictures!

Okay, yes, another long hiatus, I know.  I am a horribly inconsistent blogger.  Thanks for pointing that out!  I will get better, I promise.  I'm working on it.  What I need to do is schedule some time every day to write, instead of sporadically hopping online whenever I feel like it.  Anyway, let's see if I can get caught up to today.  I wanted to share what we've been up to these past three weeks.

So, June 7th:

It Just Isn't Summer Until the Lilies Open!

I adore lilies.  They are one of the top flowers in my book of favorites.  Really, I love a lot of flowers, but for some reason, lilies catch my eye all the time.  Does it surprise you that I have four Asiatic lily bushes?  We've had them since we bought this house, 6 years ago, and every year I wait for them to open.

Halfway Through the Week!

It's Wednesday, meaning we're halfway through the week.  Meaning, in 4 days we'll be throwing Carlie's 1st Birthday party.  Meaning this Momma really should be scrubbing the floors, the toilets, the sinks, or really just everything, but guess what, I'm blogging instead :)  Mainly I've been working on laundry this week (boring, but it's gotta get done) so no super fun stories to tell.  But of course I have pictures to share.  When don't I have pictures to share?

New Mattel Printable Toy Coupons

The new Mattel toy coupons for the week are up for print.  I know, late posting, but I was busy!

They are:
$2.00 off Disney Princess Sparkling Princess doll
$2.00 off Mattel Angry Birds game
$4.00 off Hot Wheels Monster Jam Grave Digger Boneyard Bash playset
$3.00 off Little People Lil Movers
$10.00 off Fisher Price Luv U Zoo jumperoo

Mattel Toy Coupons

The jumperoo runs for $89.99, I believe, but if you need one, $10 off isn't bad!  The Little People coupon is a decent deal.  The bigger Mover vehicles run for $18.99 or so, making them $15.99 after coupon, and there's a van that runs for a little cheaper as well.  Not sure about the rest of the items, but if you were already thinking of purchasing them for someone, a little extra savings always helps.

A Peek at Our Weekend

I haven't posted for a few days, so I thought I'd give you a look at what we've been doing.  Thursday-Saturday my Mom, sister, and I had a garage sale, hoping to make a little extra spending money for our overnight weekend in a few weeks.  We plan on making a trip to the Mall of America, then the Como Zoo, and lastly (if the kids are up for it) a stop at Chuck E Cheese or Space Aliens.  Plus, we're staying at a nice hotel with a kid friendly pool, so hoping to get some relaxing pool time in as well.  Anyway, we did okay at the sale, though Saturday was pretty dead.  Saturday afternoon we packed everything up and put it in storage for the City Wide Sale in August.  Thought I'd share some shots I got during our three day sale.

Happy Birthday Miss Carlie!

One year ago today, Miss Carlie decided to make her appearance into the world.  She was my early bird, arriving at 2:13 AM weighing 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 21 inches long.  I was instantly in love with my gorgeous little princess.

I wasn't the only one who fell in love with that sweet little face.  She had three older siblings who her pretty excited to meet her.  Well, two sisters anyway.  Her big brother was more interested in how the remote for the tv worked!

My Weight Loss Journey- The Beginning

Today is the day I will actively try to lose weight.  Why today?  Better question: Why not today?  I have a lot of weight I want to lose and there is no time like the present to get working on losing it.  So today I will start off by openly admitting how much I want to lose and what my goals are.

What I weigh: 185 pounds (rounded up to the nearest pound)
Goal Weight: 125 pounds
Total to Lose: 60 pounds

Pants Size: 16
Goal Size: 7

Hi and Welcome!

Welcome to our new family blog!  I'm sure you're probably wondering why anyone would want to blog about being a Farmer's Wife, what's so interesting about that?  Well, honestly, a Farmer's Wife is a lot like a regular wife, I just happen to be married to a Farmer.  Ours lives don't differ all that much from everyone else's, except that a Farmer's job is at home and really is a 24 hour, every day a week job.  But really, this blog isn't for talking about farming.  It's a place for me to share about my family, to share about my weight loss journey, to share about the new crafts and baking we try out, to share about all the new organizing I am going to attempt to do (which is a lot by the way), and to just basically share.  With four kids, I needed a place where I can just blog about the frustrations of being a mom and wife, blog about the wonders of being a mom and wife, share all the fun we have and encourage others to try some of what we do (or if you want, for you to share stuff for us to try), to rave or vent about products we've tried and maybe try to find something better for everyone.  Being a stay at home mom can be a lonely job somedays since you don't always get to interact with adults.  I am hoping this blog will let me share how I'm feeling and how everything is going while still enjoying the chance to see my babies grow up every day.

So, let me introduce you to our wonderful family.

This is our family.  Okay, the picture is kind of old being from Christmas, but you get the idea.  There's my husband Greg, the farmer, myself, and our four wonderful children; Aleyah, Makena, Carlie, and Landen.
