Halfway Through the Week!

It's Wednesday, meaning we're halfway through the week.  Meaning, in 4 days we'll be throwing Carlie's 1st Birthday party.  Meaning this Momma really should be scrubbing the floors, the toilets, the sinks, or really just everything, but guess what, I'm blogging instead :)  Mainly I've been working on laundry this week (boring, but it's gotta get done) so no super fun stories to tell.  But of course I have pictures to share.  When don't I have pictures to share?

How can something this small be so terrifying?  I'm proud of myself for not panicking while getting a good shot of him.

Carlie was trying to drag her car in reverse.  She couldn't get between Daddy's grill and shop vac though.

So she decided to push it around instead.

We set up the pool Tuesday.  It may have been a little cold!

Miss Smarty Pants didn't want me to wash her blankets.  I had them sitting by the basement door, ready to go down to the wash and she went and took them back.

"I don't want them washed, Mom."

Off to bed, with her blankets.  She didn't put them down after that.

Wednesday, Carlie eating a sucker.

It was so good, she had to hold on with both hands.

Grumpy Pants didn't want to come in the house.

I can't tell if she's hugging her with her legs or if this is some kind of wrestling maneuver.

So far, we're having a pretty great week.  It's nice to just relax.  Next week, I'm hoping to get some organizing done in the kids' rooms and the bathroom upstairs, so I'm going to enjoy the rest of this week while I can!  And only 16 more days before our Cities trip with my Mom, sister, and the kids.  We're all really excited!!
