Hi and Welcome!

Welcome to our new family blog!  I'm sure you're probably wondering why anyone would want to blog about being a Farmer's Wife, what's so interesting about that?  Well, honestly, a Farmer's Wife is a lot like a regular wife, I just happen to be married to a Farmer.  Ours lives don't differ all that much from everyone else's, except that a Farmer's job is at home and really is a 24 hour, every day a week job.  But really, this blog isn't for talking about farming.  It's a place for me to share about my family, to share about my weight loss journey, to share about the new crafts and baking we try out, to share about all the new organizing I am going to attempt to do (which is a lot by the way), and to just basically share.  With four kids, I needed a place where I can just blog about the frustrations of being a mom and wife, blog about the wonders of being a mom and wife, share all the fun we have and encourage others to try some of what we do (or if you want, for you to share stuff for us to try), to rave or vent about products we've tried and maybe try to find something better for everyone.  Being a stay at home mom can be a lonely job somedays since you don't always get to interact with adults.  I am hoping this blog will let me share how I'm feeling and how everything is going while still enjoying the chance to see my babies grow up every day.

So, let me introduce you to our wonderful family.

This is our family.  Okay, the picture is kind of old being from Christmas, but you get the idea.  There's my husband Greg, the farmer, myself, and our four wonderful children; Aleyah, Makena, Carlie, and Landen.

Greg.  My wonderful husband of 5 years.  A great father to our four children.  he used to be an auto mechanic, but he decided that wasn't for him.  What he really wanted was to get back into farming; his dad is a farmer along with quite a few other members of his family.  So, here we are, starting a new chapter in our lives.
Me.  And Carlie too.  I am the Farmer's Wife.  Honestly, I'm not a very good one.  I did not grow up on a farm and am having a hard time adjusting to just how farmers are supposed to live.  I love clothes, I love shopping, I love to read.  I don't think any of that really describes the typical farmer's wife.  I also admit that I don't like cleaning and am not a very organized person, but I am going to try to change that.  And like most women, I am not satisfied with the way I look or how much I weigh, so I'll be working on that as well.
Aleyah.  She's 6 and in kindergarten this year.  She's learning a lot and growing up way too fast.  She's a Daddy's Girl at heart and loves being with Greg when she can.  This whole process has been hard for her though.  She doesn't like change, so moving, a new job, less Dad time, and kindergarten really got to her.  She seems better, but still not happy with all the changes coming.
Makena.  She just turned 4.  She's a girly girl who likes to wear dresses, paint her finger nails, and does not like the barn.  She may also have a hard time adjusting when we finally move to the farm.  I'm not sure I'm looking forward to the day she has to live on the farm instead of only going with Dad once a week at most.
Landen.  He's 2.  Don't let that innocent face fool you either.  He's full of energy, full of curiosity, and full of bravery bordering on recklessness.  He's always on the go and never gives Mom a break unless he's sleeping.  He's also gives the greatest hugs and sweetest kisses and will make you forget what a devil he can be.
Carlie.  Almost a whole year old.  Getting too big too fast.  She's got two bottom teeth, working on two top teeth, and three molars and not afraid to eat anything.  And she loves when people carry her around.  If she can't find you, she's one mad Princess.  She's super snuggly though and loves giving high fives.   We're also learning to walk, but so far she's been pretty cautious about it.  I just know one of these days she's going to let go and run.
So that's all of us.  I hope you enjoy getting to know us and find this blog as useful as I do.  Feel free to say hi anytime and I definitely would love opinions!
